General info on tree views
In some cases, the regular list view does not appear when a user presses a module within a process step. Here is a general description of functionalities that can be used when the step contains tree views, normally there are two of them, one on the right and one on the left. Other functions may differ between modules and further information for each module / tree can be found in its documentation for the process step.
The idea of a tree view is to make it simpler to create data or a relation between data in the system by dragging them from one tree and dropping them in another. In many of the steps containing a tree view it is the left one that has the main focus and nodes are dragged from the right tree over to the left to create data or sub data . In some cases, you can drag / drop in both directions.
In several trees it is also possible to delete relations with drag / drop. This can be done by pulling the record up into the trash can that appears above the tree.
In some trees, user can access actions or the plus button above the tree view. By right-clicking on a record in the tree, the user can also access the add / open button and actions for the selected module / line.
