Select coordinates on map

It is possible to select coordinates for sites and buildings directly on the GIS map.  Start by selection the desired building or site in the top filter above the GIS map.

 Then select the marker icon on the left in the GIS map.

Place the marker on the desired location and that coordinate will be saved on the selected site or building.  The map will pan over to this coordinate when the site or building is selected in the top filter.

Polygons on map

It is possible to draw out polygons directly on the GIS map and connect to buildings.  Start by selecting the desired building in the top filter above the GIS map.

With the building selected click the polygon icon on the left in the GIS map.

A crosshair appears on the map where it is possible to draw out shapes directly on the map.

The polygon is saved on the selected building when the first coordinate is clicked on the shape.

All polygons drawn on the GIS map are stored under the Building Outlines layer that can be selected in the layer menu.

The polygon show the outline of the building and is clickable on the map to select a desired building.

WMS Layers

It is possible to register external WMS layers on MainManagers GIS map.  That is done through the WMSLayers module that exists undir System Configuration - System Settings - WMSLayers.

To register a new WMS layer press the green plus button.  A registration form will open with the following fields:

It is possible to register two types of WMS layers within MainManager.  Those are Base maps and Overlay.  Base maps are a full set of map tiles for example a areal photo set while overlays are layers that appear on top of base maps, for example layer that shows all streets.

Required fields for a registration of WMS layers are Name, Type, Url and Layers.
