Introduction

On 7.march 2025 we will release version 20.20 of MainManager FM web.

Here we will list up the new features that this release will contain and describe the error fixes that have been done. By looking at the articles you can select from the left tree you will find information on what is new and fixed in each of the processes and one article describing general fixes.

Each process article contains two chapters. First one lists up all the new features that are available (most of them by configuration) after the release update and the second chapter is to list up all the error fixes. At this point release notes are in process so final version will be ready on release date.

New features

Two factor authentication (EMM-2591)

Settings for two factor authentication

It is now possible to set a MainManager instance to a 2 factor authentication by checking the “2 factor authentication“ checkbox within Access Management in System Settings.

You can select the length of the one time password sent out to the user as well as the used characters and expiration time.

It is also possible to choose the method of sending out the password, Email, SMS, or Email and SMS.

Notice that if you want the system to send out SMS, you will also have to configure the SMS settings in System settings page. Contact your customer success manager for further information needed on this.

Authentication flow with two factor authentication enabled

If 2 factor is enabled the user logs into the system and gets the choice of getting a one time password sent in email or sms.  When the choice is selected the one time password is sent to the user and he needs to input the password within the expiration time.

Be able to generate, show and print QR code/barcode (EMM-2512)

We have done some additions to be better able to support use of QR codes in MainManager.

In the list over Identification codes where you have been able to register your own QR codes and attach them to objects within the system, you can now let the system generate the codes and view them in a list.

Now it is also possible to have a QR code generated for all records from the link that Administrators can view within each registration form.

These QR codes can also be included in your reports from template for Work order, Head Project, Incident, and Task Report. Simply add the bookmark ‘BM_QRCODE’ to your Word templates to create them.

An example how it would appear in a report:

Be able to have a column with link and a QR code to a registration form when exporting list to excel so that it is easy to use these links (EMM-2668)

Now it is possible to have a column with a QR code included in Excel export

This feature enables the option to scan a QR code to get the registration form when exporting the list to Excel.
