Import from AutoCad
In MainManager, you can import polygonized 2D drawing material in DWG format into the system in an advanced process. In the AutoCAD drawing, a polygon is created for each building space in a floor plan to be imported into MainManager. It is also possible and recommanded to read information from blocks in AutoCAD that contain information about each building space, i.e. number, name, area, category, user (tenant) and organisation. When importing into MainManager, a floor plan is created along with the building spaces and the information mentioned above. It is then possible to have a setting on that automatically updates the AutoCAD drawing immediately if information on those attributes is edited in MainManager. If the AutoCAD drawing is changed, it can be imported into MainManager again, the changes are recorded and marked in MainManager and version history is saved.
In addition, a situation plan can be registered for the property with polygons for the location to indicate where buildings are located on the site. The same applies for each building, a facade drawing can be attached to it where polygons for every floor are shown . In this way, interactive drawings can be used to navigate throughout the location structure to a specific building space.
There are several quality routines in this process. The first is a validation of imported polygons from the CAD drawing (or BIM elements from the BIM model). MainManager also generates a list of changes on all areas and notifies the user if an area/building space has been added or removed (two spaces that may be merged). MainManager creates an SVG drawing (vector format readable in browsers) from both AutoCAD and BIM models. The SVG drawing is used in all colored views and graphical layout in MainManager.
