Portfolio access

General information

This step is used to give persons or organisations access to view portfolios or sites in the system.

If access to a portfolio is granted, the permission is then granted for the organisation to view all the sites in that portfolio. This access can be granted at any organisational level.

It is also possible to grant the access for an organisation directly to site(s) and at the lowest level i.e. per person. This might though require a lot of work to maintain and set up. 

There are two options for giving organisation access to a portfolio

• Drag/drop an organisation / person to a portfolio (from left to right)
• Drag/drop a portfolio to an organisation / person (from right to left)

Left side

The left hand side shows the organisation tree. If an organisation has access to a portfolio, the text is in bold and a subsequent bracket shows the number of portfolios associated. User can expand the tree to see portfolios associated.

In the right filter, user can switch to Person view under Organisation view drop down list. Then the left tree changes to show people and their direct access to portfolios.

Right side

Portfolios are displayed on the right. If one or more organisations or persons are affiliated, the text is shown in bold and a subsequent parenthesis shows the number of organisations or persons associated with the portfolio. Expand the tree to see which organisations or persons are affiliated.
