Employee
An employee (i.e. contact) is created when a person is located in an organisation. The same person can be an employee of several organisations, although that is not common.
Access to sites and portfolios is normally controlled through the organisational tree, so in that case it is necessary for persons to be registered in an organisation.
It can be different how an employee is created whether it is done manually, through an import or even from an integrated system. This is often done simultaneously, ie. an employee is created, but a person is registered in the background as it is not possible to systematically register an employee without a person. If the person is registered in advance and the employee is created with e.g. drag / drop in to the organisational tree then all the necessary information like email, telephone, etc. are copied over to the employee.
